Founded by Jennifer Portman and Natalia Barbieri in London, Bionda Castana produce luxury footwear for women who see shoes asmore than accessories; they place them at the very heart of their wardrobe. Bionda Castana were honoured with the award for Best New Accessories Designer 2008 at the “Who is on Next/Vogue Italia” Event in Rome and has achieved major media recognition and coverage in leading publications worldwide. Their glamorous celebrity clientele includes Chloe Sevigny, Kate Moss and Rhianna. Bionda Castana translates from Italian, into Blonde Brunette – each representative of one half of the design duo. Jennifer being the blonde and Natalia the brunette. Bionda Castana products are all 100% hand – made in Italy. Jennifer and Natalia met at University in London. It was this encounter and friendship that would later lead them to forming their luxury shoe business.
